Her research focuses on the development of therapeutic biomaterials  with tunable degradation and mechanical properties  for regenerative medicine needs.  She has expertise in polymer synthesis and nanoparitcle design for drug delivery and tissue engineering applications.\u00a0 She works on the development of salivary gland tissue chips using Nidus MBA<sup>TM<\/sup> for   radio protective drug discovery. His Lab studies biomolecular interactions through the synthesis of molecular probes and through the development of novel optical sensing technologies. He has contributed extensively to the development of IMAAT<sup>TM <\/sup>software.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.nidusmbt.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/JonathanRebhahn.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-600\" width=\"171\" height=\"257\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"has-drop-cap\"><a href=\"https:\/\/cancertrailblazers.org\/meet-the-lab\"><strong>Michael R. King<\/strong> <strong>Ph.D.<\/strong> <\/a>is the J. Lawrence Wilson Professor of Engineering at Vanderbilty UNiversity. He is also the  Chair of the Biomedical Engineering and a  Professor of  Radiology and Radiological Sciences. He is a fellow of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering and of the Biomedical Engineering Society. The King Lab studies receptor-mediated adhesion of circulating cells, and has developed computational and in vitro models to study the function of leukocytes, platelets, stem and circulating tumor cells under flow. He leads the Nanomembrane Research Group that develops applications using ultrathin (15 nm &#8211; 400 nm) porous materials fabricated using silicon-base manufacturing.  He is a co-founder of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.simpore.com\/\">SiMPore Inc<\/a>. that has commercialized this technology.
