DELOUISE, PH.D., MPD., FOUNDER<\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-dark-gray-color has-light-gray-background-color has-text-color has-background wp-block-paragraph\">Dr. DeLouise is the founder of Nidus MB Technologies and the primary inventor of our MBA\u2122 technology. &nbsp;She has 35+ years experience in basic and applied research spanning the fields of chemical physics, material and biomedical science, first at the Xerox Corporation and then at the University of Rochester.&nbsp; While at Xerox she received executive level training in product development earning&nbsp; Masters degree in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rit.edu\/study\/product-development-ms\">Product Development<\/a> from the Rochester Institute of Technology.&nbsp; At the University of Rochester her research program focuses on manipulating materials on the micro-, nano- and molecular-level scales to develop novel biomedical devices for diagnostic, therapeutic and investigative purposes. She as authored over 135 peer reviewed publications many of which can be found on <a href=\"https:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/?term=delouise&amp;filter=ds1.y_10\">PubMed.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"200\" height=\"260\" src=\"http:\/\/www.nidusmbt.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/HA-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-825\" style=\"width:202px;height:auto\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Hossein Abolhassani, M.S.<\/strong><\/h4>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hossein Abolhassani is a biomedical engineering researcher with a strong foundation in tissue engineering, microphysiological systems (MPS), and biomaterials. Inspired by the FDA Modernization Act 2.0, his work centers on developing advanced in vitro tissue models to improve translational research and advance alternatives to animal testing in drug development and toxicity screening. He led a team that earned second place in the University of Rochester\u2019s Fall 2023 \u201cAmerica&#8217;s Got Regulatory Science Talent\u201d competition, and presented their project, <em>\u201cMulti-Organ-on-a-Chip in a Microphysiological System,\u201d<\/em> at the FDA. With over eight years of interdisciplinary experience across engineering and the biological sciences, his contributions are reflected in multiple peer-reviewed publications available on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/myncbi\/hossein.abolhassani.1\/bibliography\/public\/\">NCBI<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"320\" height=\"451\" src=\"http:\/\/www.nidusmbt.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/JM-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-827\" style=\"width:210px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.nidusmbt.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/JM-1.png 320w, https:\/\/www.nidusmbt.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/JM-1-213x300.png 213w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 320px) 85vw, 320px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">J<strong>ared Mereness, Ph.D.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dr. Jared Mereness is a research scientist with nearly 15 years of experience developing microphysiological systems and assays for toxicological and functional screening approaches.&nbsp; He is passionate about the advancement of human-relevant platforms aimed at understanding disease and discovering novel and improved therapeutics.&nbsp; His research at the University of Rochester centers on the development of microphysiological systems of epithelial tissues, including lung and salivary gland for drug screening and modeling infection and exposures.&nbsp; His combination of biological, engineering, and computational skills make him well-suited to take on diverse and evolving challenges and are reflected in over 30 peer-reviewed <a href=\"https:\/\/scholar.google.com\/citations?hl=en&amp;user=Y3_EmcgAAAAJ\">publications<\/a>.&nbsp; He holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical Genetics from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry and an M.S. in Bioinformatics from Rochester Institute of Technology.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>LISA A.
